Hah, I loved this article. It is so true, we want everything now-and why didn't it is usually my question when it doesn't. And I love the jeans rolling down, man such truth it was hillarious.

Just so you know...last night I consumed a donut on your behalf...it was the least I could do in this battle between sugar and evil. I took one for the team.

Ah...our relationship with food has got to be something to write a book about...oh wait..someone did...over and over again...argh!!!

I have read (lol...while eating mind you) that reading while eating is not so good...as we lose track of how much we've eaten...same for watching tv etc...your not concentrating and it just all goes down the hatch. I dont believe that as your post points out...you get interested in something else...the food goes cold or whatever.

Maybe for some people...we are not all alike. This reminds me of my 17 year old son. He is like the one person I know that basically eats because he has too...to stay alive...other than that...he cant be bothered...the stinker!!! lol.

Good for you, Red...honestly, the first few weeks of working out are always the worst for me in terms of the couch calling louder than the workout. Keep me updated on your progress...

I went for my first work out at the gym. I started out with a rowing machine type thing. It was awesome...just went on and on and on...for 15...then my legs got all wobbly. Lol. Walked on the treadmill for 10 min at 4 mph...could have done more but got to the gym late and had an appt...feel good about my start though.

I use to be a pretty good long distance runner...with my short legs fast races etc were beyond me...but I could run...would love to get back to that...someday.

Good job....you get exercise in and an environmental awareness lesson..lol.

Yes, every step does count. I park as far away as possible whenever I shop (not often, hate shopping).

The kid hates it. It's the only way to get activity in his day. And drumming on Rock Band does NOT qualify, in my opinion.

Keep up the good work :)

Hey Red.

I hide my junk all the time. With a 17-year old in the house it's the only way I can be assured I get a little chocolate now & then and not stuck with only veggies and leftovers.

What's important is that you're doing something--walking, running, stairs when carrying laundry. I'm no paragon of fitness (maybe more like an octagon) but I'm starting to see how much better I feel when I move.

Thx for dropping by. I'll stop by your blog again soon & say hey :)

Oh my I do remember stacking my kids in the stroller at various times...they are 2 years apart...each from the other one...sigh.

I tend to share my stuff with them...cause if I hide it (I admit I do hide my junk now and then..Im pathetic I know) they ransack my hiding spots until they find the stash. They know me soooo well...or should I say too well? lol

At least your jogging...Im still working out whether I have calf muscles yet from walking...got some pain there...but not real sure yet...sigh.
