two pieces of bagel bread with a schmear of butter and jam, coco wheats and a little greek yogurt. Attempting to begin Sunday better than I left off Saturday.
Orange Hostess cupcakes have been my BFF through so many life events. Last night, they called to me from an AM/PM shop on my hour-long interstate drive from the bar and my friends to home.
I don’t know if it was the combination of the margies, the Miller and the memories or just the Chicago 17 playlist on my iPod that made me sentimental, but I’m glad my BFFs came along for the ride.
Four of these cute things added up to a tab of only $9. What a deal. Just imagine if I’d have had 4 of those margies from the Mexican place. I’d still be drunk.
It’s always important to hydrate after alcohol. Or, in this case, between alcohol. I had three glasses of water after the nachos & margie but before we settled the bill and headed to our favorite bar.
I realized in checking out the blog that yesterday I ate very few veggies. Ok, none. So this was my attempt at getting vegetables at a Mexican place. Yes, I could have had veggie fajitas, but that’s too much work, especially when the effects of the margie made me lazy.
I only ate half of this at best. Mostly just the steak part. Not enough lettuce to count as a veggie tho…
Remembered with just a little to go that I needed to take a photo. Yes, sadly, most of the margie was gone by then to a better place–my bloodstream. Tried soaking it up with some of the yummy tortilla chips behind it (cameo appearance), but did forget to take a pic of those.
I really can’t believe a Coke rep showed up at my door to give away a free case. Honest, you can ask the boys. And it seemed so wrong to not have one (the small cans, anyways) in honor of our free gift. I can’t think of the last time I had a real (sugar fortified) soda. Coke, I’ve missed you.
this is where I was headed before all that other stuff derailed me. One good breakfast. I won’t say healthy because the Velveeta sorta negates everything else. But the greek yogurt was yummy and the meal kept me full. At least til the Coke lady showed up…next slide please.
